I have always loved singing. Reciting ginans was my first attempt at singing and then I started singing English and Hindi songs whenever I had the opportunity, however the joy I feel from having the opportunity to recite ginan is unparalleled. Both of my parents have been instrumental in teaching me new ginans when I was younger and encouraged me to recite them whenever I had the opportunity. Singing ginans in Jamatkhana are always a great pleasure for me and they feel like the most pure expression of love. Also, they are full of valuable lessons if you are able to understand the meanings. It is a tradition that I hope we can hold on to in the years to come.
