When it comes to songs, I do not consider myself a singer. Ginans, on the other hand, is a different story. Malakhajina is a ginan that my Daadi's mom, when she was alive, used to request me to sing for her. She loved that ginan in my voice. My Daadi lives in Ontario and she sings as well. I learn a lot of Ginans from her. We record Ginans for each other. In Pakistan, I have taken part in a lot of competitions when it comes to Ginans. Two of the Ginans that we prepared were Uthi Allah and Tum Chet Man Mera on which we also had some acts prepared. That was very creative and amazingly performed. In my REC (religious education centre) one of my ginan teachers in grade 4 told me that I have a beautiful voice and inshallah I will get a chance one day to sing infront if Hazar Imam. When I got the opportunity in darbar, that was an exciting moment for me.
