At present I am residing in Edmonton, Alberta. I migrated from Tanzania almost 35 years ago. Since childhood I had a hobby and passion for singing so I started with singing Ginans and Shan-e-Karimi Geets in 1976. Later I also started singing Bollywood songs. Just learned the ginans by attending Jamatkhanas and listening thoroughly and later on learned the meanings too. I had the Golden opportunity of reciting ginan in presence of Hazar Imam in Vancouver during the Golden Jubilee Darbar. Overall, I have recited ginans in Vancouver, Seattle, Toronto, India, Calgary, Houston, Kenya etc., and of course back home in Dares salaam. Few years ago I was a ginan teacher for Bait-ul-Ilm too.Birthplace: Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania
