Profile  Albums Ginans (1)

My journey for Ginans started in 2009 when I joined Ginan classes. After a few years, I learned that the essence of a Ginan has been hidden in its meaning and interpretation. I started learning Khojki and Gujarati languages from my mother in 2013 to dig deeper into the Ginans. Interestingly, I found so many new Ginans in the authentic publications, which were not even published by Mukhi Lalji Devraj. I started doing transliterations of these Ginans. I began searching for unpublished Ginans and visited rural areas of Sindh to search for manuscripts and diaries. I established contact with Mr. Pyarali Jiwa. He invited me to a conference at the Association for the Study of Ginans, UK in 2015. The topic was 'Unpublished Ginans.' I was a Ginan class instructor in Sultanabad Jamatkhana, Karachi from 2014 to 2017 and established contact with Sir Mumtaz Ali Tajuddin to interpret difficult Giranths such as Girbhawali etc. I continued my research on unpublished Ginans and was again invited as a scholar to Carleton University, Ottawa in 2017 where my topic was 'Unpublished Ginans.' I established contact with Mrs. Arzina Merali to further explore the unpublished ginans and transliterate them. The journey continues...
