Since I was a child, I used to attend Jamatkhana daily with my grandmother and I was interested in listening to Ginans. The melody and the words really attracted me and kept me engrossed. Slowly and steadily the love of Ginans developed. I then started going to religious classes and also attended Ginan classes which promoted me to recite the Ginans in the Religious Education Centre as well as in Jamatkhana. After completing my Religious Secular Education, I then joined the Adult ginan Class. My mentors were Amir Ali Gillani and Mohamed Khimani. By Mawla’s grace I have had the chance to recite Ginan Eji Dhan Dhan Aajno Dadalo in Huzur on 21st March, 1989, in Karimabad, Karachi. In addition, I recite Ginans on regular basis in Jamatkhanas and have also participated in a number of Mehfil-e-Ginan, Mehfil-e-Naat. Above all, I am a Ginan Instructor and teach Ginans to adult members of the Jamat and also prepare them for recitation on the special occasions like Khushiyali, Majalis, Mehfil-e-Ginan etc. I am really thankful to Mawla for the opportunities.
