I was born in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania and brought up in Madagascar. I certified as a waezeen between 1984 and 1985 in Ontario and until present time fulfilling my parents wishes. Subsequently, I graduated from the Harvard school of education in 1987 with a master's degree in education. From a very young age my mom enrolled me in all ginan and waez competions. I recited Dua at age three and half and recited ginans since age four. I took part in ginan and waez competions in Quebec and Ontario and fortunately did well. Subsequently, when Mowla came for a visit in 1978 I had the opportunity to recite venti ginan in his presence shukhar.Birthplace: Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania
