Learning and reciting Ginans is an important part of my life. Ever since I was a child, I felt deep joy and peace when I recited Ginans and had a strong desire to learn more. I had the privilege of learning from some of the community's finest Ginan reciters and teachers, like Mohammad Sir, Zarina Kamaluddin Apa, Sultana Apa, Bilqis apa, Noorallah Sir and my first Ginan teacher Sir Alauddin who instructed me back in 1996 when I started attending Ginan Class. They shaped me into who I am today with their passion to preserve and transmit this rich and ancient tradition passed down from generation to generation. They taught me how to understand the meanings and contexts of the verses, appreciate the beauty and diversity of the poetic forms, and express my love and devotion to the Imam through my voice. They motivated me to become an Instructor in 2014 at Darkhana Study Circle and Religious Education Center to pass on the honor I received and share this knowledge and passion with others, especially the younger generation. In addition to participating in many Ginan Mehfils, I was also honored with the opportunity to lead the Intezari Group during the recent visit of Mowlana Hazir Imam. I feel Ginans are not only a way of expressing my devotion and faith but also a way of connecting with the divine presence and seeking blessings.
