My name is Alnoor Rahemtulla. I am originally from Kigoma, Tanzania. I currently live in Houston, USA. The passion for Ginans runs deep in my family, inspired by my dad and mum who were exceptionally gifted in the knowledge and recitations of Ginans. We share a love for learning and understanding the true raags from original scripts and meanings behind the words. I hope that these recitations will inspire new generations with understanding and maintaining our wonderful tradition and in the preservation of Ginans in its original forms and raags. I am deeply thankful for institutions like the University of Saskatchewan Ginans Central which is facilitating such a repository and providing open access to anyone who is interested in advancing their knowledge of Ginans.
