My name is Zarina Manek, I was born in Tanga, Tanzania. I got married to Haiderali Manek in 1972, shortly after which my husband and I decided to move to Zaire, DRC. I am a proud mother to 2 daughters; Salima and Shafina and a grandma to 4 children; Rayhan, Haiden, Kian and Jenna.I currently reside in BC, Canada and attend Fraser Valley Jamat Khana. I enjoy reciting Ginans, this gives me a sense of joy and peacefulness. I feel humbled when others compliment me on my Ginan recitations. I started reciting Ginas at the age of 45, in Zaire, DRC. My parents have always enjoyed reciting Ginans and this was always one of my objectives while growing up which I finally tackled in my forties.Birthplace: Tanga, Tanzania
