I was first introduced to Ginans by my Mom (Nargis Kanji), my Aunt (Gulbanu Charania), my grandmother (Malek Kanji) and was later supported by Arzina Merali for my recordings. I have always been interested in Ginans since I was very young and I am so grateful that these important women in my life have shown me the practice that has become a crucial part of my Devotion to Allah. These women have guided my passion for Ginans throughout my childhood. Ginans inspired me to pursue a Bachelors Degree in music 15 years ago and I have extended my interest in music into my academics and my personal life through my hobbies. To this day, although I love singing and music, Ginans continue to be one of the main sources of strength and inspiration in my everyday life.Birthplace: Edmonton, Canada
