I began reciting ginans in Jamatkhana at the age of 2, under the guidance and teaching of my mother (Zahra Charania) and grandmother (Gulbanu Charania). I have always loved reciting ginans, particularly because it connects me to my family's rich history of Ginan recitation. In my eyes, being a Ginan reciter is such an honour and privilege because I am able to take part in a wonderful and important tradition that we need to continue.Birthplace: Edmonton, Canada
