I have had a passion for singing ginans since as long as I can remember. From reciting ginans in khane to participating in competitions and recitals, I loved it all. Reciting ginans gives me a sense of deep solace and comfort.There is also so much knowledge to be gained from the ginans themselves - we just have to take the initiative to understand what they turly mean. The information and lesson derived from ginans can be applied to so many different context and have relevance that transcends generations. I love learning new ginans and qasidas from various avenues, whether it be through other reciters or through Ginan Central website. I am so grateful to have access to such a wonderful resource that will be useful for generations to come.Birthplace: Zanzibar, Tanzania
