This is a companion website for the Ph.D. thesis Tradition And Technology: A Design-Based Investigation of an Online Ginan Semantization Tool by Karim Tharani under the supervison of Professor Jay Wilson, Department Head, Curriculum Studies.

Purpose of the Study
The purpose of this study is to prototype an online Ginan semantization tool that balances the current needs of the youth with the established transmission and teaching practices in the Ismaili community. More specifically, the research incorporates learning theories and best practices in language learning literature with the traditional methods and materials of teaching Ginans. The study is both deliberate and purposeful in its use of digital technologies to semantically analyze, integrate, and curate existing Ginan collections and corpora for online semantization.
