1. bhūlo bhūlo te bhūlo bhamarḍo re lol

2. kiyāṅ bhūle merā praṇiyāre lol

3. agan jaṭan tāre tan jāgiyāre lol

4. ab hi bhūle sohi prāṇī hārse re lol

5. evā āge to bhav je langṇāre lol

6. tame kis bidh langsho pār iyāre lol

7. āge pataṇ nahīṅ koi beḍiyāre lol

8. nahīṅ vanj nahīṅ kohe tulhāriyāre lol

9. sat kerī bāndho tame pāḷiyā re lol

10. tamne dharam langāve pār iyāre lol

11. gur jāmin tamārā bhāi ho chalere lol

12. tame is bidh langsho pār iyāre lol

13. je koi hole hole bhāi tari gayā re lol

14. buḍe sohi ke jin sir bhāriyāre lol

15. āge nahīṅ koi hāṭ vāṇiyā re lol

20. kuchh dharam liyo tame sāthiyāre lol

21. em ginān shams gur boliyāre lol

22. kuchh sukrit karo dharam sāthiyāre lol

Translation

1. The bumblebee has forgotten.

2. O my brother! Whither you forget?

3. Your body is made of fire and water (or there is fire of gluttony in your body).

4. He who forgets this time will fail.

5. You will have to cross the ocean of life ahead.

6. How would you cross it?

7. Neither there is a ferry nor a boat.

8. Neither any oars nor a raft.

9. Make a bridge of truth (to cross it).

10. Only religion can take you across.

11. Your guide will be your surety.

12. You will be able to cross this way.

13. Those who were light-weighted they swam across.

14. Drowned those on whose heads where weight.

15. There is neither any shop nor any shopkeeper ahead.

16. Neither any trade nor any trader.

17. There is neither any sister nor any brother ahead.

18. Neither any father nor any mother there.

19. O brother! You will have to go alone.

20. Take some good deeds with you.

21. Pir Shams (r.a.) says so in the ginan.

22. Do some good deeds with the obligations.
