Text (Pronunciation Guide)

1. ek tīrath vendhḍā pīr shams gāzī sadhḍā
    tusā nāvo nāvo nāvṇā vīrā nāvṇā

2. nāte dhote se jīya jine gurdhā farmāyā kiyā
    or nahīṅ nāvṇā nahīṅ nāvṇā

3. rāho rāh chalo tūsā pīr puchhi rāh chalo
    ujaḍ pag nahīṅ pāvṇā na pāvṇā

4. pīr shams arvāh par bodhṇā
    man haṭhi ruhāne samjāvṇā e samjāvṇā

5. esā dar mede sāheb rājedhā sendhaḍā
    suidhe dafe  vich  hasti  māvṇā vīrā māvṇā

6. pīr shams gāzī boliyā
    phal sache yāre momane pāvṇā vīrā pāvṇā

Translation

1. Admonishing a caravan, which was going for Tirath, Pir Shams Ghazi (r.a.) says that your bath should be the bath of reality.

2. The real bath is of his who followed the words of the true guide. There is no any other bath than this.

3. Tread the straight path and take the path after asking the true guide. Do not move towards a deserted place.

4. Pir Shams (r.a.) guides the souls and persuades the arrogant souls.

5. The court of my Lord is like passing of an elephant from the eye of a needle.

6. Pir Shams Ghazi (r.a.) says that true momin will get the real reward.
