Text (Pronunciation Guide)

1. ejī kāyam dāyam tū moro sāmi
    tere nāme bhī koi koi

2. ejī sachā kol patijaṇā
    aj sacho muhammad sohi sohi

3. ejī pīr na bandā tolṇa
    gur vachan ādābi ḍhoi ḍhoi

4. ejī sādhū langhe sādh thayā
    tiyāṅ ghāfal baeṭhā roi roi

5. ejī so varas lagi jivṇā
    bande ākhar marnā bhī hoi hoi

6. ejī pīr shams kahe dil dariyā chāndrūṇā
    je kare kirtār so hoi hoi

Translation

1. O my Lord! You are Ever-Existing and Ever-Living; none is like you.

2. O brother! Believe in the truth that I am telling; today the true Prophet is the same Hazrat Muhammad (s.a.s.).

3. O brother! Do not try to test the Pir. Follow (accept) the advice of the true guide with absolute respect.

4. O brother! The righteous attained salvation whereas the ignorant remained weeping.

5. O brother! At the most you will live for one hundred years, but eventually you will have to die.

6. Pir Shams (r.a.), whose heart is like ocean and who is bright like moon, says that whatever will my Lord do, will happen.
